What you are paying for
At Prozoneova, Vocal recording includes an engineer and basic tuning in our iso booth. The hourly rate is €108; the three-hour pack with rough comp is €395. Both figures include 21% VAT. For net amounts in your accounts, use €89.26 per hour or €326.45 for the pack.
The pack suits one lead track plus a few doubles. Hourly booking works when you split several songs, record spoken word or need extra ad-lib time. See vocal recording for what happens in the booth.
Realistic time estimates
Do not assume one perfect take per song. Most artists need warm-up, level checks and several full passes. Ad-libs and doubles often add half an hour per track. If lyrics are still changing, leave room for pauses and notes.
We have 1 vocal booth and space for up to 5 people in the lounge and hallway. Larger entourages usually slow the flow; agree in advance who comes along (manager, videographer, friends).
Pack versus hourly booking
| Scenario | Approach | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Lead plus rough comp within three hours | Pack | €395 |
| Lead on day one, ad-libs a week later | Two hourly blocks | 2 × €108 |
| Three songs, short lead each | Four to five hours | 4–5 × €108 |

Deposit and cancellation
When you confirm, we ask for a 35% deposit on the quote. Free cancellation or rescheduling is possible until 5 calendar days before the session. Inside that window the deposit is forfeited on no-show unless we agree a new date within our hours: Monday to Friday 10:00–21:00, Saturday 11:00–17:00. Closed on Sunday. Sessions by appointment..
Business clients pay within 21 days after invoice when company details (KvK, VAT number) are on file. Our identifiers are on legal notice.
Prep that saves money
- Lyrics and structure settled; avoid major text changes in the booth.
- Reference track on your phone at moderate volume.
- Voice care: skip heavy rehearsal the night before; warm tea beats ice water.
- Beats or guides as WAV or AIFF with tempo and key noted.
- Backup project files on a second drive.
Good prep shortens setup and avoids extra hours. For file formats before mixing, see export stems for mix.
Travel and logistics in Westerpark
The studio is on Transformatorweg in Westerpark. Bus 21 stops at Haarlemmerweg (about a seven-minute walk); from Amsterdam Centraal it is roughly a twelve-minute cycle via Haarlemmerweg. You can park bicycles at the entrance; cars use paid street parking or Q-Park Westerpark on Van Limburg Stirumstraat, about an eight-minute walk. If you use public transport, allow margin for delays; sessions start by appointment, not when the train arrives.
Paid street parking or Q-Park belongs in your day budget. Bikes can be locked at the entrance — handy if you head to another mix appointment elsewhere in Amsterdam after recording.
After the session: archive and next steps
We keep session materials for 18 months on our servers unless you arrange otherwise. Rough comps from the pack are a working basis, not a final mix. For balance and space, book mixing; for loudness afterward, mastering.
Need stems for an external mixer? Request export before the archive window ends. Call 020 737 4829 or email [email protected] if your schedule shifts.
Summary
Start with the pack when you want one song wrapped within three hours; choose hourly slots for multiple tracks or flexible ad-lib days. Budget 35% deposit and cancel at least 5 days ahead. Prep lyrics and guides, and leave time after recording for mix — everything does not have to finish the same day.
