What to agree before the session
Podcast recording at Prozoneova is €118 per hour or €440 for a four-hour block with recording plus edit. Two to four voices can record together; the engineer handles monitoring and export per episode.
The studio does not provide legal advice, but we expect hosts to know who owns the recording and where episodes appear (RSS, YouTube, social clips) before the session. Use contact to book capacity: Monday to Friday 10:00–21:00, Saturday 11:00–17:00. Closed on Sunday. Sessions by appointment..
Portrait rights and publication
In the Netherlands, someone recognisable in image or sound can object to publication when it goes beyond reasonable consent. Audio-only shows face the same principle for recognisable voices in promotional use.
A short written release before recording reduces disputes later. State at least: who the producer is, which media (podcast feed, clips, newsletter), territory (worldwide or EU), duration (one episode or as long as online), and whether editing is allowed (intro, jingles, excerpts).
Personal data under the GDPR
Guests often share name, job, contact details or opinions. You are usually the controller for your show; Prozoneova B.V. processes only what is needed to plan and run the session. See privacy policy and data processing agreement for business clients.
Tell guests why you collect data (scheduling, invoicing, publication), how long you keep it, and that they have access and erasure rights within legal limits. Do not hoard raw material — we archive 18 months by default unless agreed otherwise.
Minors and sensitive topics
House rule: participants are at least 18 unless you arrange written parental consent and extra supervision. For medical, financial or criminal topics, warn guests you do not censor live but can pause if someone withdraws.
If you plan social clips, include that in the release — short vertical video is not automatically covered by “audio only”.
Music, logos and brands on the show
Intro music and jingles need cleared rights or PRO licensing (Buma/Stemra in the Netherlands). Guests mentioning commercial brands remain responsible for misleading advertising; you as host check whether segments need sponsorship labels under ACM guidance.
Recording in our studio does not replace those duties — we deliver clean stems and edits, not content compliance review.
Practical release form
- Identity
- Guest full name and email
- Scope
- Show title, feed URL, any video platforms
- Duration
- Single episode or series with end date
- Editing
- May host cut, add intro/outro, create transcript
- Portrait / photo
- Separate yes/no for promo photos from the studio
- Signature
- Date before first recording
Store a PDF or scan with project records. If the platform changes, ask for an addendum.
After recording: edit and publish
The €440 block includes edit in our workflow; heavy post-production is outside standard unless quoted upfront. Send guests a preview before publish if you promised one — not a legal duty, but trust-building.
If you keep raw multitrack, plan storage within 18 months. For export habits that also apply to interviews, see export stems for mix.
